I'll always cherish the memories of our 'trip of a lifetime'. Considering what a homebody you were, I was in awe of how brave you were taking a solo flight to Thailand to meet me. Naturally, you made friends on the plane to help you through customs when you landed! 

It still makes me laugh the first thing you told me was that you didn't like rice and could we have spaghetti bolognese! We spent a couple of weeks exploring Thailand and I loved showing you everything there (even getting you to reluctantly eat Thai food) - I have so many photos/videos/memories from boat trips, and beach parties (you were naturally gifted at limbo), temples, and floating markets. Racing through Bangkok with your wheely suitcase so we didn't miss our flight. 

You took to Aus like a fish to water, I had hoped you'd live there one day, but know you loved Mum and your dreams of a 3-story house in Hykeham too much to be that far away.

I'm so thankful for all the experiences we shared there and so very proud that you came to see me. How I wish it was the first of many trips of a lifetime.
